The Abbotsford Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a pharmacy of narcotics in the 30400 block of Blueridge Drive on last week on Thursday.

A white male wearing a white bandana over his face entered the pharmacy at 4:10 p.m. on Aug. 23. He showed the pharmacy staff a gun and demanded narcotics, which they handed over.

“He lifted his shirt to reveal a real or replica firearm [in his waistband],” said Const. Ian MacDonald. “He left with a range of pain-killing narcotics.”

The man fled and got into the passenger side of a maroon-coloured sedan that was parked on Blueridge Drive. The vehicle drove north on Mt. Lehman Road.

Although they were not physically injured, “the pharmacist and his assistant were pretty shaken up,” said MacDonald.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, medium height and build. He was wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up, the white bandana covering his face, blue jeans and white and black running shoes.

The vehicle is described as a maroon coloured sedan, but there is no further of the driver.

The Abbotsford Police Department released still images of the robbery suspect and the getaway vehicle from surveillance video.

Anyone with information about the identification of the people or the vehicle involved in the incident is asked to call the Abbotsford Police at 604-859-5225 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
