Gordon Holloway, FCA has been elected president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of B.C. (ICABC), and will lead the elected council for the 2012/2013 council year.
Holloway is a partner at KPMG LLP in Abbotsford.
He currently sits on the ICABC executive, professional development review, and professional conduct enquiry committees, and has served on the government affairs committee, public relations committee, school of chartered accountancy task force, long-range planning committee, course development/ audit committee and student recruitment committee.
His community involvement includes the Abbotsford Heat Foundation, the committee to bring AHL Hockey to Abbotsford, the City of Abbotsford task force for enhancement of agriculture, the Abbotsford economic development commission, the Abbotsford Executive's Association, the Abbotsford Land Trust, the Abbotsford Community Foundation, and the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce.
For his contributions to the CA profession and the community, Holloway was honoured by his peers in 1992 with a fellowship (FCA) designation.
The "FCA" designation is the highest honour given to a Chartered Accountant in Canada.
Gordon was also elected the Chamber president in 1989 and is currently on its board of governors.
