A missing senior en route to Trail who was last seen in Abbotsford has been located.
Abbotsford Police Const. Ian MacDonald said that 72-year-old Diana Latondress, whose whereabouts were unknown since Sunday night after visiting a friend in Abbotsford, was located in Midway B.C. on Tuesday afternoon.
She is in good health and had simply extended her trip home, Const. Ian MacDonald.
"It's a happy ending," he said.
Police were able to track her down after she made a large purchase of fruit on her credit card in the Okanagan town of Keremeos.
Latondress had been travelling in a 2005 blue Dodge Caravan with her dog "Inga".
The police and family became concerned after Latondress, who has a heart condition, couldn't be located or raised on her cell phone after not arriving home as expected on Monday.
