Police have ruled an Abbotsford woman found dead Wednesday was in fact murdered.

Amarjit Kaur Khosa, 34, was found dead by Abbotsford police officers at a residence in the 32000 block of Austin Avenue about 7 p.m.

Integrated Homicide Investigation Team spokesperson Cpl. Dale Carr said in a release Monday that an autopsy performed Friday confirmed Khosa had met with foul play.

Police continue to investigate the homicide, and executed several search warrants over the weekend.

Khosa was not known to police, Carr said, and IHIT has ruled out any links to drugs, gangs, or organized crime at this time.

There are still no details on whether the murder is linked to a domestic dispute and police are not prepared to release the manner or method of her death, Carr said.

Homicide investigators will continue to work in Abbotsford through the week and are looking to speak to anyone with information regarding the incident.

"Often times people have a little bit of information that they don't realize is important, we ask people to come forward with any little bit of information and allow investigators to determine the value to the investigation," Carr said.
