Dear Editor,
Wayne Clark [Time to return to historical centre, May 8 Letters, TIMES] is so far left he would call a centrist a right wing fanatic. It's difficult to debate a political position when the opponent is having an identity crisis, or perhaps has more than one. I can honestly say I am as much a centrist as Wayne Clark is.
The NDP feet are perfectly safe in his care - no scorched ones here. The NDP have their own personal podiatrist. Mr. Clark minimizes their past misdeeds and omits altogether a forged memo and legal woes. The past is not left behind.
It's so entertaining playing the devil's advocate; it assists in keeping things real.
Cheryl Baron [Name change not enough, May 8 Letters, TIMES] is right on the money concerning Chris Olsen's $67,000 severance package.
Premier Christy Clark states she has no comment, as it is a "personnel issue." No it is not. Government funded salaries, perks, and severance packages are taxpayers' business.
