Abbotsford's business community is about to become lot more memorable.
Leadership speaker Carla Rieger will speak Feb. 1 at an Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce lunch event on 'Making Yourself Memorable.'
An expert on fun at work, change leadership and presentation skills, Rieger will give tips on how to grab people's attention and make a lasting impression in everyday interactions, from client meetings to networking events.
"If you want to stand out from your competition, you need to make people smile from time to time. Contrary to popular belief, being a more light-hearted communicator is a skill that can be learned," she said.
With a background in comedy, Rieger is also the director of The Artistry of Change, a Vancouver consulting firm, an author of four books on humour, presentation skills and creativity, and a regular columnist for several publications.
The lunch is at Cascade Community Church, starting at 11: 30 a.m.
Tickets are $25 for members and $35 for non-members. Preregister online at www.abbotsfordchamber. com or call 604-859-9651.
