Abbotsford will host its first economic symposium next month.

Keynote speaker John Furlong, Vancouver Whitecaps chairman and former VANOC CEO, CBC TV host Ian Hanomansing, and 'Crazy Canuck' Steve Podborski, former Olympic downhill skier and Telus community sports director, join business and political leaders to engage participants in a dynamic discussion on economic opportunities and challenges in the growing communities south of the Fraser River.

The symposium will feature networking and breakout sessions through the day to allow discussion on significant themes and topics.

The Abbotsford Economic Symposium is on Nov. 20 from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre, 33800 King Rd., Abbotsford.
