Ron Price and Conair Aviation in Abbotsford have been awarded 2012 Silver Wings for their contributions to the aviation and aerospace industry in B.C.

The B.C. Aviation Council presents the aviation awards on Oct. 25 at the Vancouver International Airport south terminal, as well as $10,000 in scholarships to students in B.C. aviation programs.

The Entrepreneur of the Year Award went to Abbotsford-based Conair Aviation, which has been an innovative leader in aerial fire control services and products and has developed new markets in the U.S., Australia and France.

Ron Price will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for his leadership of the Abbotsford International Airshow.

The British Columbia Aviation Council was established in 1938 and is a charitable society representing the interests of the aviation industry in B.C. It has 160 individual and corporate members.
