Harrison fall shows
The first of two shows in October is a rare opportunity is see Irish music at its best. Playing together since 1992, Rattle the Boards have been praised as one of the best traditional acts in Ireland's music scene. The band comes to Harrison Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. Note: the John Mann concert planned for Oct. 24 has been cancelled. Harrison welcomes the return of the Steve Dawson Trio on Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. Dawson is an accomplished guitarist and multi-instrumentalist. Nunsense the musical
Chilliwack Players Guild presents Nunsense, a musical comedy. Don't miss this side-splitting comedy with its mischievous singing, dancing, sweet, bawdy, and oh-so-resourceful nuns. Fall Film Series 2009
The Chilliwack Arts Council and the Toronto Film Festival Circuit co-present the 2009 Chilliwack Arts Council International Film Series. Thanksgiving Sing-A-Long
A community Sing-A-Long of traditional Thanksgiving songs will be held at the Sardis Fellowship Baptist Church on Sunday Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m. An instrumental prelude will start at 6:15 p.m. The lively singing is accompanied by the Songs of Praise orchestra. The program will be interspersed with special instrumental and vocal numbers. Dan Goldsmith will be the emcee and Brenda DiRezze is the orchestra conductor. The church address is 45187 Wells Rd.
Rainbow of wine and food
The Rainbow Wine and Food Festival is Nov. 7 at the Best Western Rainbow Country Inn, 43971 Industrial Wy. The event will feature a sampling of over 50 different wines from around the world, paired with food samples made by our Executive Chef Bill Schildpatt. Fall down dance

The guild provides charity comfort quilts for Better Beginnings, transition houses, hospice, hospitals, day cares and victims services.

Sto:lo textiles at The Reach
The Reach Gallery Museum Abbotsford presents a new exhibition, A Common Thread: Quilts and Textiles from Stó: lM, South Asian and Mennonite Communities on now until Jan. 3, 2010. A Common Thread examines the complex stories and meanings that are contained within each of the artworks as a way of sharing their diverse cultural voices. Hands Across the Pacific
Back again for its ninth season is Hands Across the Pacific--a show of excellent and unique artwork from Japan, China, Korea, Mongolia and Canada.
