Holiday spirit will fill the air at the Clarke Theatre on Wednesday, Dec. 19 for the 13th annual Christmas at the Clarke Benefit Concert, sponsored by Prospera Credit Union and Fraser Valley Building Supplies.
Singer/songwriter Kenny Hess will be back to entertain with his rich voice and wonderful stage presence that makes him one of the most sought after country performers in Canada.
The band Horizon, comprised of Fraser Valley musicians Rick Noel, Fred Schmidt, Asger Hansen, Johan Worst and Scott Boyes, and featuring vocalists Crystal Hicks, Chantelle Davidson and Dana Wright, will perform a wide range of favourite Christmas songs with touches of blues, jazz and rock 'n' roll.
Rob Hess is also back with the vocal group Halo and they will fill the theatre with wonderful renditions of classic Christmas songs. Rounding out the show will be the Hatzic Secondary School jazz band and the Heritage Park Secondary School choir.
The show benefits the Christmas Bureau and the programs operated by the Women's Resource Society.
Doors open at 6 p.m., the show starts at 7 p.m. There is a large silent auction with items donated by local businesses.
Tickets are $15/adults, $12/seniors and students and $10/children, and people are asked to bring donations to the food bank.
