Despite the worst weather the Vancouver Motorcycle Show has ever experienced, the attendees at the 2012 Vancouver Motorcycle Show had a blast. Large crowds on Saturday and Sunday cheered on the stunt riders, were wowed by the all-new KTM Enduro-X demos and got up close with new 2012 models. Not even snow, high winds, freezing rain, highway closures and stoppage in BC ferries could deter avid motorcycle fans from checking out the show, said event manager Nanette Jacques.

This vintage 1950 Ariel caught the eye of many visitors at the McNeney & McNeney booth at the Vancouver Motorcycle Show at Abbotsford's Tradex. The booth also had an 1948 Indian and a 1952 Harley.

With wife Michelle sizing him up, motorcycle enthusiast Lincoln Brouwer tries on a jacket while Barry Dining of Up Your Leather holds a mirror. The store on East Hastings was opened in 1936 by Vern Kaiman's dad, supplying custom design and locally made leather jackets. Kaiman said the family business will open another Up Your Leather store in Langley this April.
Vesna Korecki of Vancouver likes the BMW G650 GS offered by salesman Dave Groleau of Bentley Motorrad of Kelowna at the Vancouver Motorcycle Show on Sunday. Korecki, who has a Honda 250, began riding last year with a friend and "I love it," she says. "I used to ride on the back of my husband's Harley Davidson. It was great but it's a bit boring. It's more fun riding on my own." She hopes to graduate to the BMW in a couple of years.

Old bikers never die - this skinny fellow and his lady drew plenty of looks at The Shirt Lady's booth, run by seamstress Marianne Thompson. She works out of her Abbotsford home, sewing shirts, caps and bandanas with various road themes.
Retired truck driver Fred Holten of White Rock, who has a 1931 Model A truck, is pleased the shirt he purchased at the 2012 Vancouver Motorcycle Show at Tradex on Sunday, from The Shirt Lady. The Shirt Lady, Marianne Thompson, works out of her Abbotsford home, making novelty shirts, caps and bandanas.
