Editor, the Times:
Why in all the world do people from other countries think that Canada has to solve their problems? It is time that Canada says 'No' to people like the Tamils. As long as we cater to these people, the more other countries will take advantage of Canada.
We have nothing against people coming in the proper immigration route. What happens is that those that come the proper way have to wait even longer.
Look at the cost to the Canadian tax payer and the health risks. It's time that Canada smartens up and sends these people back.
And don't tell me that Canada needs to be compassionate. We are the most compassionate country in the world.
Canada should not be expected to solve the world's problems. I don't want any response from people who try to make political points with these situations.
It is high time that our Canadian government makes some legislative changes to solve this problem once and for all.
