The Fraser Valley Regional District is hoping Abbotsford residents will help shape and guide the region's future growth.

The FVRD is hosting an open house Thursday to develop a new regional growth strategy, a 30-plus year vision for the Fraser Valley.

Residents can provide input on a broad range of topics including the economy, housing, healthy living, transportation and the environment.

The Abbotsford open house is the last of six that have been held in recent months.

Displays, information and FVRD staff will be on hand to answer questions and residents can fill out surveys as well.

Residents who can't attend can e-mail comments to RGSInput@fvrd.bc.ca or complete the RGS survey online at fvrd.bc.ca.

The Abbotsford RGS open house is Thursday, Oct. 18 from 6: 30 to 8: 30 p.m. at Clearbrook Library, 32320 George Ferguson Way.
