PROGRAMS/SESSIONS:

- The Center for Epilepsy and Seizure Education in British Columbia is currently accepting applications for the sponsorship of up to 10 children with epilepsy to attend the Zajac Ranch Camp for Children this summer. The cost of the five-day camp experience, occurring from July 26 to July 30, will be fully subsidized. Sponsorships for campers from 7 to 17 will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. VOLUNTEERING:

- Parkinson Society British Columbia: Support groups in White Rock and Surrey are in need of volunteers to help with monthly meetings. Working closely with the current group leaders, the volunteer facilitator will be involved in a variety of activities. Training provided. - Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland is looking for women, age 19 or older, to volunteer as Big Sister mentors. - Boys and Girls Club Community Services of Delta/Richmond requires volunteer drivers, using their own reliable vehicle, to pick-up food hampers from Surrey Food Bank for delivery to house-bound clients in Surrey and North Delta. - PICS Volunteer Program: This program is designed to help clients gain valuable experience in Canadian labour market. - Canadian Mental Health Association (Delta branch) offers free, facilitated group for people with Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD) as well as friends and family. - Vine Youth Wellness Drop-In facility is open on Mondays and Wednesdays 3:30-6:30 p.m. at 15455 Vine Ave., White Rock. Physicians will see youth, ages 12-21, for confidential medical consultations around issues such as mood disorders, contraceptive counselling, teen pregnancy, addictions, eating disorders, as well as other medical conditions.
