It may not be as cold outside as earlier predicted, but winter isn't over yet.

And to prove that, the Canadian Parents for French Abbotsford Chapter in cooperation with the French immersion and core French schools in the Abbotsford School District are hosting Carnival d'hiver d'Abbotsford on Friday, Feb. 11.

The winter carnival will take place inside the gym of Chief Dan George Middle school (32877 Old Riverside Road, Abbotsford) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event will feature a plethora of bilingual entertainment, including music, games, a French story corner, face painting, a caricaturist and food for purchase or donation.

Appropriate footwear for the gym is appreciated.
