A bbotsford residents should note street closures on Sept. 2 due to a Nagar Kiran parade hosted by the Gurdwara Sahib Kalgidhar Darbar. The route starts and ends at the Sikh temple at 30640 Blueridge Drive.
From there, the parade route heads east on Blueridge, south on Townline Road, then west on Southern Drive, to Sandpiper Drive, to Bluejay Street and back onto Blueridge to the temple.
The route will be closed from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., while the parade is expected to start at 11 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. Festivities will continue at Kalgidhar Park until 5 p.m.
People should plan alternative routes for the day. Bus service on route No. 1 and No. 2 will also be disrupted.
There will be designated parking in the area. Vehicles parked in the temporary or regular no parking zones may be towed. See the city website at www. abbotsford.ca for more details.
