Nominations for the 11th annual Fraser Valley Cultural Diversity Awards are being accepted until Friday, Jan. 25. Concepts of cultural diversity include age, gender, abilities, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion and socioeconomic background.

Organizations and individuals that work towards building an inclusive community are encouraged to apply.

The event is presented by Abbotsford Community Services in partnership with Mission, Chilliwack and Langley Community Services as well as the Fraser Valley Regional Library.

Each year, the awards receive nominations for businesses, programs, initiatives, schools and leaders that work towards building an inclusive community.

Categories include: Inclusive Environment, Marketing/ Outreach, Innovative Initiative, Champion of Diversity and Reflective Workforce.
