According to a City of Abbotsford press release issued late Tuesday afternoon, city manager Frank Pizzuto will resign his post with the City of Abbotsford effective January 4, 2013.

“As Frank’s relationship with the City of Abbotsford comes to an end, we want to once again express appreciation for his contributions to our community over the past four years,” said Mayor Bruce Banman.

“The passion that Frank brought to his position will be missed by council and staff alike.”

Pizzuto notified City Council of his decision in a letter sent to them on December 11,

2012. In the letter, Pizzuto indicated his last day of work will be January 4, 2013.

“Council will continue working closely with our senior management team on City operations in 2013,” said Banman. “We are excited about and focused on the road ahead.”

Frank Pizzuto joined the City of Abbotsford in June of 2008.
