A 20-year-old Stanley Cup rioter from Abbotsford has a new weekend hangout.

Luke Douglas George Patillo was sentenced to 45 days in prison on Friday, time which will be served on weekends.

The Crown was seeking six months for Patillo, who prosecutor Daniel Porte previously described as an “active” rioter during the June 15, 2011 mayhem.

Patillo entered the Vancouver provincial court flanked with his family, but stayed behind in custody after the proceedings.

Crown spokesperson Neil MacKenzie said there will be no community service attached with Patillo’s sentence.

Patillo becomes the fifth rioter sentenced – all but one have received jail time with sentences ranging from one to seven months in jail, while one received a conditional sentence with house arrest.

Earlier that day, admitted rioter 21-year-old University of British Columbia student Camille Cacnio was in court for a pre-sentencing hearing.

The Crown seeks jail time for the first-time offender, who stole a tie and pairs of men’s pants from a downtown clothing store during the riot.

The Crown wants Cacnio to serve 30 days in jail plus community service.
