Police are worried and appealing to the public for help in locating an Abbotsford husband and father missing since Friday.
Ian Michael Tracey, 43, was last seen by co-workers at a job site in the Fleetwood area of Surrey around 2: 30 p.m., said Const. Ian MacDonald. Tracey, who goes by the first name Mike, hasn't been seen or heard from since, said MacDonald.
"He's a husband and a father, and a lot of people are worried about him right now," he said.
It's completely uncharacteristic of Tracey, married for 25 years, to disappear without notice. Police have checked with hospitals, friends, and at border crossings without success, said MacDonald.
"We're really at a loss. We tried looking at bank transactions looking for red flags and an any reasons for him to want to go missing . . . there's nothing apparent."
Tracey was last seen by his family Friday morning when he went to work in the family vehicle, a 1997 white Dodge Caravan with B.C. licence plate reading 563 FNG. He was last seen wearing grey shorts, a white T-shirt and black runners although he may have had a change of clothing in his van.
He has brown hair and eyes, is 5' 10" tall and weighs 145 pounds. Anyone with information should call the APD at 604859-5225.
