T he digital media company, RTOWN Communications, with a local community digital sign network in Abbotsford, has been awarded the title of Innovative Business of Year.
Born in Whistler, RTOWN has been leading the digital media industry in resort and urban areas across Canada for over 10 years, providing a communication network that broadcasts local weather, events, specials, news, webcams and other dynamic information.
"RTOWN has evolved significantly in the avenue of updatable content," explained CEO Don McQuaid. "RTOWN first implemented technology in 2008 that gives our clients the ability to log in and enter their own specific messages directly on the screens. Now advertisers are directly updating their events, specials and featured items in realtime across our entire network using a simple login. We have seen tremendous results and adoption rates and for this reason, amongst many, RTOWN humbly accepted the Innovation Award."
Locally, RTOWN has built the framework for the Abbotsford franchise network and is ready to re-launch it, pending a partnership with an Abbotsford, Mission or Coquitlam entrepreneur.
"Abbotsford has a bustling economy loaded with potential for the right RTOWN franchisee," said McQuaid.
