It just boggles my mind how the City of Abbotsford could allow parking on DeLair Road, east of the new Cactus Club. There is no sidewalk or lighting at night. How could the city allow a development there with inadequate parking,

I have called the city many times, e-mailed the mayor and I just get the 'pass the buck' excuse. One person from the city even told me it was the Cactus Club's responsibility.

I would ask the mayor or someone from the development department of the city to park on DeLair and walk up to the Cactus Club, maybe at night, with their grandmother with her walker, or spouse pushing a stroller.

It is unreliable they allow parking with no sidewalks, yet they just expanded the sidewalks at DeLair Park on both sides of the road. It is just a matter of time till someone gets hit by a car there. Wake up city, spend some money on a sidewalk there instead of the YMCA.
