Editor, the Times:

I am disappointed and dismayed that the school board of Abbotsford is once again considering the closure of Dunach Elementary.

Upon hearing the news last spring that Dunach would not be shut down, I deliberately enrolled my two sons there after home schooling them for four years.

They are now attending this school which has whole-heartedly accepted them, made them feel comfortable during their transition and whose teachers I trust.

Dunach is a school where all the teachers are familiar with all the children that attend, has a principal who is looking out for the kids' best interests and whose families are rooting for its success.

I would not consider any other school to send my boys to. If Dunach were to be shut down, I would go back to home schooling my sons.

I will only give them the best, and Dunach is giving us that.
