The Abbotsford Kumon Math and Reading Centre (Trethewey Street location) honoured students at its annual bowling/awards event held at Galaxy Bowl on Nov. 17.

Students were recognized for their academic and personal achievements throughout the year.

The entire student body, parents, and centre staff were invited to help celebrate the success of Abbotsford Kumon's exemplary students.

Shirley Tam, director of Abbotsford Kumon, believes in honouring students not only for reaching the advanced student honour roll and studying challenging material but also for dedication to daily Kumon practice.

Following the tradition of previous years, students were asked to give back to the community by contributing to the food drive to benefit the local food bank. Thanks to the generosity of students and their families, five huge boxes of food items were collected for the Abbotsford Food Bank.

This year's event was an extra special celebration for Abbotsford Kumon Math and Reading Centre as it celebrated its 20-year anniversary!
