Looking to scare up leads on Scream crook

Robbed gas station & convenience store

Abbotsford Police are on the hunt for a robber who wears a mask featured in the popular horror movie Scream.

Two robberies this month were committed by someone wearing the signature mask that features a skull with its mouth gaped open.

One robbery was at a convenience store and the other was at gas station.

A suspect entered a convenience store on Jan. 2 at 1 a.m. in the 3000-block Immel Street. The masked suspect demanded cash from an employee and brandished what appeared to be a black handgun.

The suspect fled on foot.

Then on Jan. 5 at 6 p.m., a suspect entered a gas station in the 31,000-block of Livingstone Avenue.

The suspect was wearing a Scream mask and carrying a black bag and a black handgun.

He demanded cash, which led to an altercation with the employee.

The suspect fled and the employee was uninjured.

Abbotsford Police feel there is a possibility that the suspect or group involved in the crimes is the same.

? Anyone with information about these incidents or people involved should contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800222-8477.
