The City of Abbotsford will hold three sessions in which the public can comment on the city's current base utility rates for the institutional, commercial, industrial and agriculture sectors, known collectively as ICI/Ag.
These sectors are apprised declining block rates, in w hich rates decline as utility use increases, through predetermined thresholds or blocks of rates.
The rates for all ICI/Ag users are below residential utility rates.
Due to a request from the Abbotsford city council, the city has scheduled three sessions for public input.
Residents and ICI/Ag clients are invited to the sessions.
The dates are June 13, 5 - 8 p.m. at Abbotsford Recreation Centre, 34690 Old Yale Rd.; June 18, 5 - 8 p.m., Matsqui Recreation Centre, 3106 Clearbrook Rd.; and June 27, noon to 3 p.m., at Abbotsford city hall, room 350, 32315 South Fraser Way.
