Nominations for Mission's Community Service Awards is fast approaching, with the deadline for submissions on Jan. 14.

Nominations will be accepted for individuals, groups or organizations who have demonstrated exemplary volunteerism in the following areas: arts & culture, citizen of the year, community service, community service under age 25, crime prevention & community safety, lifetime achievement, special accomplishment, sports volunteer of the year and against the odds achievement.

Awards will be presented at the Community Service and Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony April 27 at the Mission Leisure Centre.

All nominations must include the contact information of the person submitting the nomination and the person, group, or organization being nominated.

A profile and background information about the person, group, or organization you are nominating, as well as the rationale for your nomination must also be provided.
