Mission RCMP seek two men who broke into a woman’s house on Sunday (Aug. 19) morning and took off when she came home.
The woman entered her Knight Street house a little after 8 a.m. to find two men inside. As she opened the front door, they ran out the back door and smashed through the backyard fence in their escape. The distraught woman called her best friend who in turn contacted the police.
The Mounties say the suspects had gained entry by prying open the basement door. The house was ransacked and several electronic and personal items were stolen.
The Lower Mainland Police Dog Service came to the house but they were unable to locate the suspects.
The two men probably used a vehicle to make their getaway, said Cpl. Sharon Siluch.
Both the suspects are white males. One is about 5’ 7” with a stocky build, and he was wearing a black hoodie and light-coloured skateboard shorts.
The second suspect is about 5’ 11” with a thin build, and he was wearing a red T-shirt and shorts.
Lower Mainland forensic identification officers along with the Mission RCMP continue to investigate this break and enter.
Anyone who may have seen anything or has information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161, or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
