The ghosts and goblins in Abbotsford and Mission are starting to rise with the approach of All Hallow's Eve on Wednesday.

All things eerie are underway this weekend with haunted houses being hosted in both communities.

Families can get their pants scared off with two tours through the historic haunted Trethewey House in Abbotsford on Saturday.

Visitor's might even see the old woman who is believed to haunt the house after dying in an upstairs bedroom in the heritage building many years ago.

And those who dare to be scared can visit the Ten Days of Terror underway at the Mission Arts Centre where young actors rise from the dead to frighten rash residents who enter the haunted manse.

- The haunted Trethewey House ( 2313 Ware St.) runs Saturday, Oct. 27. Spooky tours start at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. for the younger kids while a real scary tour for the brave takes place 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The kids' costume contest starts at 3:30 p.m. Entrance is $3 per person. - MAC's 10 Days of Terror runs until Oct. 30 from 6 to 10 p.m. Children under eight years old will not be allowed in and children between ages eight and 12 have to be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $10 each and available at the door. For more information haunted.missionartscouncil.ca.
