St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, at 8469 Cedar St. Mission, has a pancake breakfast and garage sale on Sept. 15, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., rain or shine. Great collectables, books, toys, housewares, bake table and sports items. Breakfast is by donation and on until 10 a.m.

On Sept. 16, Kathy Marsden, the author of Paldi: Two Cultures, One Heart, will discuss the Sikh pioneering community and its connections to its namesake in Punjab, India, at the Sikh Heritage Museum, 33084 South Fraser Way, Abbotsford. The free talk begins at 1: 30 p.m.
