RCMP are looking for a 28-year-old Mission man, Mathew Kevin Hickson, after he failed to appear in Kamloops court.

Hickson, born Oct. 9, 1983, is described as 175 centimeters (5 feet, 9 inches), 90 kilograms (199 pounds) with blond hair and brown eyes. A tattoo on his neck says GUTES. Hickson was charged after being stopped by a patrol officer for driving erratically in Kamloops around 9: 30 p.m. on Aug. 28, 2012.

The passenger in the truck driven by Hickson was suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder, and officers at the scene discovered a loaded pistol in the vehicle when it was searched. Police caution the public to not approach Hickson. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP, the local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
