Langley RCMP want to return a cache of coins believed to be stolen after busting an Abbotsford man for a driving offence.
The Mounties' local street enforcement unit stopped the 30-year-old suspect while he was in Aldergrove on August 21.
The man, who was prohibited from driving, was piloting a Ford van with plates taken from an unregistered Oldsmobile.
Officers then found a backpack containing a large number and variety of coins, many from foreign countries, inside the man's van.
Both the driver and the passenger in the vehicle denied owning the knapsack.
However, police would like to get the coins found back to their original owner.
