The Mounties are on the hunt for an offender with a record for violence and violating parole who might be in the Abbotsford area.
Ridge Meadows RCMP is asking the public for help in locating 53-year-old Barrie Quirt Friesen.
Friesen, wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for violating his parole, allegedly stole a car in Pitt Meadows and might now be in the Abbotsford or Chilliwack area.
Investigators believe Friesen is alone but he targets women, and is capable of being very convincing, sometimes befriending innocent people quickly, according to RCMP.
Friesen, who sometimes uses the alias of Bailey Danes, has a record for violence, including assault and robbery, along with driving offences, such as impaired driving and driving while prohibited.
This is the second warrant issued for Friesen this year.
A search was launched for the parolee in January 2012 after he failed to report to a Kamloops halfway house upon his statutory release from prison.
He was later arrested in Alberta in March.
The stolen car is a silver 2005 Honda Civic with the B.C. licence plate 239 RPG.
Friesen is Caucasian with brown/gray hair and blue eyes and is five feet nine inches tall and weighs 177 pounds.
He has noticeable tattoos including the name "Katrina" inscribed on his left wrist, a panther on his right upper arm, a dagger and snake on his right forearm, "Cindy" with flowers on the left forearm and "city of angels" on his left wrist.
Anyone who sees Friesen should not approach him, but contact local police or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or leave a tip online at www.bccrimestoppers.com.
