Mission residents have until Jan. 14 to nominate individuals, groups, or organizations who have demonstrated exemplary volunteerism.

The categories include: arts and culture; community service; community service for under 25; crime prevention and community safety; special accomplishment; sports volunteer of the year; lifetime achievement and citizen of the year.

Winning nominees will receive their awards at the 2013 Community Service and Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony which will be held at the Mission Leisure Centre on April 27.
