Sweet hazard

At the eighth hole of the Fraserview Golf Course in southeast Vancouver, golfers will find a new orchard of 30 apple, pear and cherry trees. They're among 45 trees planted on the city's three golf courses as part of the Fruit Tree Sustainability Project launched by the park board in March at Fraserview, Langara and McCleery courses. The trees were planted in natural areas and will be maintained by golf course staff over the coming years.
