Bjorn Ferry of Sweden has won the gold medal in the 12.5 km biathlon pursuit, completing the course in 33.38.4 minutes at Whistler Olympic Park Tuesday.

Austria's Christoph Sumann won silver and France's Vincent Jay took the bronze, finishing 16.5 and 28.2 seconds behind the pace, respectively.

Canada's Jean-Philippe Le Guellec, of Shannon, QC, completed the course in 11th place, 1.13.5 minutes behind Ferry.
