Twenty minutes north of Powell River on Okeover Inlet near Lund is Desolation Sound Resort, which offers luxury and a wilderness experience rolled into one. Accommodations are in extremely attractive chalets perched on high pilings above a steeply sloping shoreline. These log structures built by local craftspeople come in various configurations and sleep up to eight.
