Kevin Ford, a sophomore at Columbia BibleCol-lege, was named PACWEST Athlete of the Week in men's basketball for Jan. 6 after putting up 46 points in the CBC's win over Kwantlen.

Ford is a 6'0" second-year guard from Kent, Wa.

Since coming to CBC, Ford has become an integral part of the men's basketball squad and proven himself to be a leader on the court through his competitive spirit and exceptional play.

This past weekend saw the return of PACWEST basketball since the break. Friday night had the Kwantlen Eagles travel to Abbotsford to take on the CBC Bearcats for their third and final regular season meeting of the season.

In the first two games between these two teams, both would take the victory in the other's home gym.

On Nov. 2, Kwantlen defeated the Bearcats 70-68 in Abbotsford. The Bearcats then travelled to Surrey on Nov. 23rd and returned the favour, defeating the Eagles in overtime, 97-90.

For this last meeting, the Bearcats needed overtime to defeat the Eagles 108-107.

Ford led his team to the win against the Eagles tallying an impressive 46 points, 10 rebounds and five assists to help his team earn their third win of the season.
