The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades women's basketball team will look to rebound - literally - from a pair of hard fought losses to the Ole Miss Rebels in exhibition play last week, when they take on the University of Louisville on Sunday.
The Cascades welcome the Cardinals to the Envision Athletic Centre in Abbotsford for a Sunday night contest, beginning at 7 p.m.
Overall the Cascades, the underdog Canada West team in these string of exhibition contests against their friendly hard court foes to the south, were pleased with their efforts last week against the University of Mississippi Rebels, but admit they'll need to work on rebounding the ball if they are to pull off an upset.
"What these game do is they really highlight your weaknesses and areas that you need to improve," wrote Cascades head coach Al Tuchscherer in an e-mail to the Times.
"We need to rebound the ball better, we need to shoot the ball better, we need to play a little more selfless - these are all things that are fixable and it's good to figure this out early. It gives us enough time to address some of these things before the season starts in September."
