The Abbotsford Heat are on the road for 12 days, but not before making hay with a pair of weekend wins over the Lake Erie Monsters, 4-3 on Saturday and 10 Sunday, both in shootouts.

Barry Brust stopped all 38 shots he faced Sunday and added four more stops in the shootout to earn his fifth shutout of the season.

The Heat now hold a four-point lead in the North Division and finished their four-game home stand having earned six of a possible eight points. The Heat closed their eight game season series with the Lake Erie Monsters with 13 of a possible 16 points.

On Tuesday the Heat lost 2-1 to the Milwaukee Admirals (Nashville Predators affiliate) in the first of five consecutive road games. Max Reinhart scored for the Heat. They sit atop the North Division with 59 points in 50 games.

The Heat return to action Friday when they face off against the Peoria Rivermen. On Saturday it's the Rockford IceHogs, and Sunday they battle the Milwaukee Admirals. Their 12-day road trip concludes on Feb. 20 for their eighth and final meeting of the season with the Chicago Wolves.

Abbotsford comes home to face the Charlotte Checkers (Carolina Hurricanes affiliate) Feb. 22 - 23 at the AESC.
