Two sport fishing programs produced in Mission launched last Sunday and will run for 12 more episodes on CHEK TV.
The new series Sportfish-ing Adventures premiered Jan. 5 while BC Outdoors Sport Fishing began its third-season run. Both are produced by Mountain View Productions in Mission.
"Our new Mission home has brought us closer to our readers [of BC Outdoors Magazine] and viewers and we're really excited to share these exciting shows with them.
"There is definitely something for everyone, no matter your experience level," said executive producer and host Mike Mitchell.
The programs include hosts such as NHL's Brendan Morrison, BC Outdoors editor Mike Mitchell, former CFL player-turned-sportscast-er Chris Burns and fishing celebrity Brian Chan.
One of the episodes to air later was filmed in the waters surrounding Mission, and will feature many well-known areas. That date will be announced later.
BC Outdoors Sport Fishing is a how-to for the average angler and shares all the secrets of the province's best fishing holes. The season premiere featured a release of the host's biggest rainbow trout to date on Shuswap Lake.
Sportfishing Adventures takes viewers on lodge or resort-based travel throughout Western Canada and features sturgeon fishing right in Mission.
