The University of the Fraser Valley women's volleyball team still sits in first place in the PACWEST after splitting with the defending champion Vancouver Island University Mariners on the weekend, losing 3-0 Friday and beating the Mariners 3-1 Saturday. UFV now sports a 9-1 record. The Cascades final two regular season matches before the holiday break are this weekend against Douglas College.

The Cascades men's volleyball team was swept by VIU 3-0 and 4-1 to fall to 1-9 in the PACWEST. They're looking to improve on their seventh place position as they host the Douglas Royals (9-1) this weekend. Both teams play at the Envision Athletic Centre.
