Having fed the senior program a wealth of talent, it would appear as though the Terry Fox junior varsity Ravens may have the cards stacked against them.

After two exhibition tests, however, it appears to be business as usual for the two-time defending B.C. champs.

The Ravens made doormats out of Abbotsford Collegiate last week, downing the upstart program to the tune of 46-6.

Four Abbotsford turnovers translated into three first-quarter touchdowns, as receiver Tanner White and Fox pivot Billy Evans hooked up to build an insurmountable 32-0 half-time lead.

"(White) is going to give you everything he's got on every single play," said Fox's junior coach Colin Cameron. "He's going to be a threat out there, he's a solid, character-type player."

Trent Woida and Dave Zokol also ran in a pair of TDs for the Ravens, scampering six and two yards respectively to hit paydirt.

White finished his four-touchdown day in the second half, picking up a 31-yard TD pass from Evans, before Ben Sharpe rounded out the Fox attack with a 70-yard kickoff return to the endzone.

It came on the heels of a 28-14 win over New Westminster, led by running back Jordan Wicki's three TDs and 177 yards on 19 carries.

In looking towards another possible B.C. title, Cameron said his club's hopes will be determined by the intangibles.

"We need to stay healthy and focused each and every week at the task at hand," he said.

Their road back to the bowl begins in earnest on Thursday, 3:45 p.m. at Terry Fox, when they open the regular season against Centennial, the same team they beat in last year's championship final.

"It'll be a physical game," Cameron said. "We've always had a pretty good crowd out for those games. It's a pretty big rivalry. They'll come out pretty fired up and so will we."
