The UFV men's volleyball team defeated Capilano University Blues 3-1 Saturday after falling to the Blues 3-0 Friday night at the Envision Athletic Centre.
The Cascades' record now stands at 2-14; they are tied with the CBC Bearcats (2-14) for the final playoff spot. Set scores Saturday were 25-20, 19-25, 25-22 and 25-19.
The Cascades were led by Josh Togeretz with 17 kills, Chris Schmicke, 12 kills and Adam Chaplin distributed the ball well, running a well balanced offense.
"It was great to get back in the win column. The boys competed hard and we had great contributions from a number of players," said UFV head coach Greg Russell.
