The Abbotsford Pilots are riding a five game winning streak after a pair of victories on the weekend.
The Pilots smoked the Ridge Meadows Flames 9-2 Friday night at MSA Arena, and then beat the Port Moody Panthers in overtime on Saturday.
The wins keep the Pilots on cruise control at the top of the Harold Brittain Conference with 54 points, well ahead of Aldergrove with 45 and Ridge Meadows with 30.
Netminder Aaron Oakley leads all goalies with 1.86 GAA in 27 games played.
Friday's contest wasn't even close as the Pilots scored three goals in each of the three periods (Dylan Cusmano, Devon Allenby and Kyle Star in the first; Joel Atkinson [twice] and Brandon Daase in the second; Cusmano, Michael Tebbutt and Adam Rossi in the third).
On Saturday at Port Moody Arena the Pilots notched goals from Ryan Parmar, Dakota Schipper and Colton Cowden in regulation before Schipper found the net at 1: 44 of the extra frame.
The Pilots battled the Flames again last night (details not available by press deadline) and will be back on home ice Friday against the Panthers.
