Mission Chances casino has been hit by a gunpoint robbery for a second time this year.
RCMP were called out to the casino at 7178 Horne Street after two masked men staged a heist at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
One suspect, brandishing a black handgun, demanded money from the teller at the front counter wicket while his accomplice watched the front entrance and held the door open.
A significant amount of cash was handed over to the gunman, said RCMP.
The men, who were wearing gloves, masks and hoodies, then fled in a grey minivan. Minutes later, Mission RCMP received a report of a grey minivan on fire a short distance away.
Police have seized the vehicle and are conducting a forensic examination. It is the second armed robbery at Chances, which was also robbed on March 7, 2012.
A masked man armed with a shotgun entered the gaming centre at noon and demanded money. The robber obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a four-door, brown 1987 Pontiac 6000 that had been stolen earlier from Abbotsford.
Anyone with information about the robbery should call Mission RCMP at 826-7161 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
