On Jan. 8 and Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. Opening Nite Theatre holds auditions for Death Among the Delphiniums by Thea Bates and directed by Mahara Sinclaire.
Needed are three men, ages 20-60, and five women, ages 20-60. All actors should be prepared to read cold.
The setting is summer, 1947, and Lady Florence Andering-Ffyffe and her daughter Enid expect a visit from their old friends, the Millsbys.
But shortly after their arrival, a young man is found brutally murdered in the delphinium patch.
Det.-Inspector Volper is summoned, but Lady Florence is unhelpful, Mrs. Mills-by is meddling, and soon another body shows up. This Agatha Christie-style murder mystery is a rollicking whodunnit, with plenty of twists and turns and a surprise ending.
Auditions will be at 33223 Railway Ave., Mission. See openingnitetheatresociety. tripod.com for details.
