TWILIGHT TONIGHT

Ed Peekekoot returns to the Envision Twilight Concert Series at Fraser River Heritage Park in Mission tonight at 7 p.m., with his Cree humour and classical guitar. On Wednesday it's JC and the Sunshine Band. Admission is by donation. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket, enjoy a meal and the arts in the gazebo. See heritagepark-mission.ca.

JUBILEE CONCERTS

Jammin' in the Jubilee is on every Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at Jubilee Park in central Abbotsford. Enjoy a meal in the area and wander to the park to hear Back Door Slam (bluegrass) Los Amigos (Latin world). Bring a blanket, support vendors on site. See jaminjubilee.com, and leave your reviews.

STONED MOSES IN DP

The Dewdney Pub presents young Mission band, Stoned Moses, tonight at 8:30 p.m. until midnight. Saturday night the band is Loose Ends. Symphonic winds concert

On July 25 at 7:30 p.m. Bakerview MB Church will host the acclaimed Taipei National University of the Arts music school and the University of B.C. in a free joint symphonic winds concert, with an 80-member orchestra, with conductors Martin Berinbaum and Wang Chan, and violin soloist Shien-Ta Su. PINE NEEDLE WEAVING

Teresa Walker leads a pine needle basket making class at the Mission Art Centre on July 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., cost is $60. Make a basket to take home, supplies included. Register at 604-826-0029.

The Mission Arts Council is calling for 2D and 3D art pieces for its October silent auction. All donated art would receive a tax receipt for the retail price of their work. SWING DANCE
